Hello Everyone! My name is Matt and welcome to Newton's Playground!
Newton's Playground is an ongoing passion project made by a physics teacher (me) for other physics teachers and students. My goal is to use all my experience to make THE premiere resource for physics education that I've always wanted to see for my own teaching. Here you'll see simulators for virtual labs, practice generators, conceptual training tools, a full suite of tailor made physics teacher tools, and so many more ready-to-go resources that give you everything you need to run your own successful physics class of any level.
Please note: As I said, this is an ongoing passion project, I'm a physics teacher, not a web developer. All physics content, lessons, and teaching materials are, or will be, made by me, a real human physics teacher. This is a really ambitious project that I'm trying to make the best I possibly can while also being a husband, father to an energetic toddler, and a full time physics teacher. There are plenty of places you may run into placeholders, all I ask is you excuse the construction.
Student Resources
Interact with simulators that allow you to explore all topics related to high school physics. These simulators are great for exploration, labs, practice, or demonstrations for your class lessons!
Are you struggling with a topic and need more practice? Have you finished all the problem sets your teacher has printed out but need something else to prep for an upcoming quiz? This is where you need to go. Physics is a skill based subject and the best way to build confidence with any skill is always the same: Practice!
Problem solving is great practice, but there is so much more to physics than just number crunching and calculations. These conceptual trainers provide you an opportunity to reach mastery with the more abstract and less quantitative parts of the subject. Patience is the key, mastery is the goal, and these trainers are the path to get there.

Don't know where to start? Check out our library of lessons where you can teach yourself everything you need for a complete introductory physics education. Just remember that physics is a skill, and there's only one way to get better at any skill, practice. Refine those skills after each lesson by taking advantage of our conceptual training tools, practice problem generators, and review materials for all levels of physics from applied to AP.

From easy to use graph generators so you can get the kinematics graph that exactly matches the scenario you have in mind to quick and efficient diagram generators that let you make all the scenarios you want without ever needing to open MS paint, google drawing, or a slide deck program again.
